Small Businesses Meeting Lenders through BoeFly.com

Submitted by KDelGrande on May 12, 2011 – 3:19 pmView Comments

How many small businesses never get off the ground due to a lack of funding? It’s nearly impossible to guess. A new alternative lending resource is trying to address the trouble of small business lending.

BoeFly.com – fondly referred to as the Match.com for businesses and lenders – is making it easier for start ups and entrepreneurs to access capital. This online marketplace connects small businesses with lenders using a compatibility matching technology similar to those found on popular dating websites.

Finding Funding for Franchisees

Recently BoeFly launched a new service specifically for franchisors addressing the challenges franchisees face when trying to access capital. This service allows franchisors to give franchisees a way to obtain bank financing by giving them free access to the site’s services, including a network of more than 600 lenders nationwide who understand and appreciate the benefits of franchise lending. From the smallest community banks to the largest national lenders, BoeFly claims to be able to match borrowers with a direct fit. The service also offers assistance in creating an effective loan request as well as support with managing lender inquiries.

“One of the things that a franchisor needs to remember is a franchisee rarely knows what to present to a bank,” said BoeFly’s President and Chief Strategy Officer Mike Rozman. “It’s critical for a franchisor to empower a franchisee to create a bank-ready financing request.”

Since its launch in January, over 50 franchisors including CiCis Pizza, Arby’s, Baskin Robbins and Dunkin’ Donuts have signed on.

Greg Vojnovic, Vice President of Development for Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen told BoeFly.com this, “Franchisees look to us, the franchisor, to provide skills that they don’t have. If the franchisee doesn’t know how to secure financing we as the franchisor have the resources to bring to bear to help them.”

Franchisor Plans

BoeFly offers three specific service plans for franchisors:

Self Service – Starting at $130 per month (for an IFA Member with up to 50 existing units) this package is for franchises systems that would like to provide financing options to highly entrepreneurial franchises who will package, post and engage directly with BoeFly lenders with the help of BoeFly tools and online support.

Concierge Team Services – This middle-of-the-ground package is available for $169 per month (for an IFA Member with up to 50 existing units). It has been created for franchise systems that would like to provide financing options to franchisees with additional BoeFly concierge team support for the packaging of loan requests and posting to the BoeFly Loan Marketplace.

Comprehensive Loan Packaging Service – At the top of the pricing is the Comprehensive Loan Packaging Services. A franchisor must have the Self Service or Concierge Team Subscription to use these services, and the rate is $1,000 for two or less borrowers and $1,500 for three or more. This is for franchise systems that would like to provide financing options and full loan packaging services and support for franchisees. A dedicated BoeFly representative will be assigned to each individual franchisee.
