Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis is the new kid in town, especially when it comes to games of this genre, and even more so in the Final Fantasy series itself. In fact, when it comes to the FF series and the way that it is being produced nowadays, it is a surprise that not many people are flocking to the franchise. The developers behind the franchise have been hard at work and have been putting out some phenomenal titles, especially those that they have reimagined from their older ones. One of them is the upcoming Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis. And I’m really excited about it.
I have been a fan of the Final Fantasy series ever since it debuted on the Playstation. There is simply nothing like it. The game that debuted with a turn based system was simply one of the best in the genre, with a riveting story and lore that is simply unbeatable, even by today’s standards. All of this peaked sometime during Final Fantasy VII, which is widely regarded to be the best Final Fantasy game of all time. And I have to agree that the seventh game stands head and shoulders above the rest. So imagine my glee when Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis was announced just a small amount of time ago.
It is like a dream coming true because my favorite game in the franchise is making its way to mobile. And that is something that we could not even dream of two decades ago. It’s just such an amazing thing to happen, and I’m so hyped up for it. With all that said, let us learn a little more about Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis.
Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis: About The Game
Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis is a new adventure game for mobile developed by Square Enix in the Final Fantasy franchise that covers the events of Before Crisis, Crisis Core, the original Final Fantasy VII, Dirge of Cerebrus, and Advent Children, all different chapters in the story of the seventh game. In addition to this, the game also contains some new content of its own that has reportedly been written by Kazushige Nojima. All of this sounds so exciting as it is now bringing the story elements of the aforementioned chapters into one game that will be accessible on your mobile. Things really don’t get much better than this.
From what Square Enix has revealed in their trailer for the game, it can be ascertained that the game is going to feature much of what we have already seen from Final Fantasy VII Remake. The graphics are going to be quite similar when in combat, and it is expected that a chibi style will be adopted for the overworld. Other than that, the game looks quite similar to what we have seen from the remake, and that is a great testament to graphics in video games themselves, let alone those on mobile. That makes it really exciting to see what the game is going to bring to the table.
In the trailer, the combat for the game has also been showcased, and it seems that the game is going to follow the same style as that used in the remake. However, it is still not known whether there will be the presence of a turn-based combat system to keep the game in line with the original and to make it more authentic. Whatever the case might be, the combat is still quite similar to that used in the remake, so things are looking really good on the gameplay front, especially considering that it is for mobile.

Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis Release Date
Now, Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis has been announced just a small amount of time ago. Square Enix went out and made the announcement that it would be releasing this new game on both the Android as well as iOS platforms. However, no news was given out regarding the release date for the same. What we do know, however, is that Square Enix has stated that the game will be released sometime in 2022. That would make for a really quick release considering that it hasn’t been a long time since the game was announced. And that makes me really happy, so I’m not complaining at all.

Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis Conclusion
Personally, for me, Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis is looking to be an amazing addition to the Final Fantasy franchise with the way that it is bringing so many scattered chapters of the seventh installment in one game and then adding some. IT simply doesn’t get much better than this, and I’m really excited to get my hands on it.
