If you’re someone who was born in the last century, then there is a good chance that you are either a fan of Star Wars or a fan of LEGO. And if you’re like me, you’re a fan of both. They are both just two really fun and important cultural icons of our time that have stood the test of time. And now, Apple is taking advantage of that with the latest Apple Arcade release, LEGO Star Wars Castaways. I’m sure that you must have heard the name on the internet given that it has been raising a lot of noise.
If you haven’t then you don’t need to worry, because I’m here to alleviate all your concerns and will be talking in detail about the game today. LEGO Star Wars Castaways is one that I have been wanting to talk about for a long time now and I was waiting for the game to officially become playable by Apple. Star Wars games have been increasingly multiplayer since their beginning, and the LEGO Star Wars Castaways game is no different, which is why it makes a little sense for Apple to take their time releasing it. Personally, I’m just happy that the game is here, and don’t have much to complain about.
Now, I’m sure that you must be having a lot of questions about the game, so without much further ado, let us get right into it.
LEGO Star Wars Castaways: About the Game
Now, LEGO Star Wars Castaways is a highly multiplayer game that has been released by Apple on the Apple Arcade for those who are subscribed to its new game service. The game brings back the same lightsaber action and the same battles that we have grown to love and expect from Star Wars even as the franchise turns older. The game is rooted in the Star Wars Universe and this time you are on a planet and you are on a mission to defend all that you have from a dangerous maelstrom that is surrounding the planet.
Here, the main subject of concern is the Observatory, which is a powerhouse of knowledge that contains all the findings and wisdom from scholars of the planet and the Sacred Order of Ramulus. Here, the main threat to the Observatory is the corruption that is spreading all over the planet, destroying everything in its wake. We as players are tasked with protecting the observatory on the planet at all costs and to stop this Corruption from spreading too far and causing too much damage.
The game itself is highly customizable as you get to design your own character and have a fairly good amount of choice in everything, as is the case with Lego games. You will be provided different weapons and simply thrown into the mix to make sure that the Observatory remains safe. In terms of the gameplay, LEGO Star Wars Castaways is an amazing one and I didn’t face any hitches or problems while playing it. The touch controls, too, are quite intuitive, and didn’t have a problem getting used to them on my screen.
The game itself is quite addictive and will keep you engaged for hours. There is not much that I could complain about in terms of the game performance as it has been launched on the highly optimized Apple platform where each game is curated according to the device performance. The game ran flawlessly and there wasn’t a single hitch while I played it. That makes it a true winner according to me.

LEGO Star Wars Castaways: Offline
Now, a lot of you might be wondering if an internet connection is mandatory to play the game. And you would be delighted to hear that the answer to that question is “No”. Since no personal information is shared over the internet by the game, you can also choose to complete your missions by yourself in offline mode. The game will still run flawlessly and you will be able to complete your quests, all being assured that there are no hidden purchases or paywalls within the game to ruin your experience. Once you are in, there is nothing else like it.
