After all the devastating events that came on the way of the show’s creation, we finally have information about Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Season 2 with a brand new title.
Back in 2013, the comedic show Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid was born as a manga named Coolkyousinnjya. The manga spinned out into various offshoots before getting an anime adaptation. The dimwit show contrasts the life of an overburdened office woman with the wild antics of her lately adopted dragon turned housekeeper.
After few disastrous setbacks, the second season of Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid is finally on the way of fans. The show will hit Japan and streaming services later this summer. Later in this article you will find everything you were looking for in regard with the show.
Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Season 2: Plot
The quirky capers in “Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid” includes regular office worker Kobayashi and her titular reptile housekeeper. She made friends with a dragon girl called Tohru after removing a sword from her back in dragon form. Later after that, Tohru transmutes into a human like girl and chooses to stay with Kobayashi keeping her as a maid. Sadly, she creates as many messes as she removes, attracting several hurdles to Kobayashi’s doorstep.
Season 2 of the show will carry on with these jocular adventures while also introduce more of Tohru’s species to the blend. On one hand this is a formula for hilarious disaster, on the other hand one dragon’s presence in particular could be doom for the peace of Tohru and Kobayashi’s lives.
Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Season 2: Trailer
Recently, a teaser trailer for the show’s season 2 was put online looking back at what the show has been about as yet while also giving a peek of what’s lined up to come. Tohru’s fellow dragons Fafnir, Lacoa, Kanna and Elma are spotted throughout. They all indulge in disorderly and strident shenanigans involving both battles and love. It also has a glimpse of the new logo for the season’s inflated title. It is Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S. The “S” here stands for “Super Supreme Second life Starts,” although this is more than possible just to be silly and differentiate the forthcoming season from the first season.
Why was the season delayed?
The shows season 2 was originally announced in 2019, and rather there’s a rather drastic cause behind its delayed release. The series is produced by Kyoto Animation with the first season directed by Yasuhiro Takemoto. Besides Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid, Takemoto had also worked on other shows like Air,Haruhi Suzumiya and Lucky Star. Well sadly, he was one among the various victims of the 2019 Kyoto Animation arson incident. In which a total of 36 people were killed and 33 were injured. In addition with a global COVID 19 pandemic, this pushed the show’s continuation back considerably from its lined up production and release.

Kyoto Animation is once again going to take up the show, with most of the cast and crew returning. Although Takemoto retains his posthumous credit on the series, Tatsuya Ishihara is the new director. Yuka Yamada, Masumi Ito, Miku Kadowaki and Nobuaki Maruki, they are all returning to supervise scripts, compose the music, design the characters and direct animation respectively. The music will resume with the first season’s fashion of catchy tunes, with the opening “Ai no Supreme!” being given by the band Fhána. Similarly, Super Chorogons will lay out the ending theme, “Maid With Dragons.”
