I think there’s more to why people like science fiction than meets the eye. People are drawn to the universe of science-based fiction because they are interested in and curious about the most important things in life. But more importantly, people have a natural desire for mysteries and the satisfaction of solving them or seeing them solved.
This is especially true when a mysterious story is supported by science, which separates it from our imaginations and makes it more interesting and appealing. “The 4400,” which is made by CBS Paramount Network Television, is one such show.
The show aired for four seasons, and now everyone wants to know when The 4400 will return. What’s the most recent news about this series? Here’s everything we know about season 5 of The 4400, including all the details and news.
What Is The 4400 Series About?
Every single one of the 4,400 persons had been missing since 1946 or after. Since the moment they disappeared, neither one of them has grown up or gotten older. They are baffled and bewildered since they have no recollection of what occurred before they returned.
The processing of the arrival of the 4400 is the responsibility of the National Threat Assessment Command (NTAC), which is a component of the Department of Homeland Security. The NTAC is currently led by Dennis Ryland.
Ryland has delegated responsibility for the research on the 4400 to Tom Baldwin and Diana Skouris. Ryland left for Washington at the beginning of the next season, and Nina Jarvis took her position on the show. During the fourth season, Meghan Doyle assumes her position as the head of the NTAC.
After being cut off from the outside world for such a significant amount of time, many of these individuals face challenges as they attempt to reintegrate themselves into everyday life. In addition to that, some of the people who had returned began to demonstrate supernatural talents, such as clairvoyance, precognition, and other “gifts.”
This was the case with just a small number of people. For instance, the pilot Shawn Farrell displayed his ability to resurrect a dead bird by restoring the neck of the bird after it had already passed away. In addition to this, one of the 4400, Lily Moore, became pregnant in the time between when they disappeared and when they returned.
The 4400 Season 5: Release Date
The first season started on July 11, 2004, and had five episodes before it ended on August 8, 2004. The most recent season, the fourth, started on June 17, 2007, had 13 episodes and ended on September 16, 2007.
On December 18, 2007, co-creator and writer Scott Peters announced that the fifth season of The 4400 had been canceled due to the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike, financial concerns, and less-than-stellar reviews.
When the show was abruptly canceled during the middle of the previous season, leaving viewers on a cliffhanger, fans were understandably devastated. Although the decision to end The 4400 was made a long time ago, the show’s producers still have no plans to bring it back for a fifth season.
The 4400 Season 5: Cast list
The previous seasons of The 4400 include the following cast:
- Joseph David-Jones as Jharrel
- Ireon Roach as Keisha
- Brittany Adebumola as Shanice
- TL Thompson as Dr. Andre
- Jaye Ladymore as Claudette
- Derrick A. King as Rev Johnson
- Khailah Johnson as Ladonna
- Cory Jeacoma as Logan
- Amarr Wooten as Hayden
- Autumn Best as Mildred
Since there won’t be a Season 5, none of the above cast members will be back in any way. The new version of the show will also have an entirely new cast and set of roles.
The 4400 Season 5: Plot
The show will return with the same plot as the original, but there will be some differences between the two versions this time around. This time around, the exhibition will not be taking place in Washington but rather in Michigan. The most significant modification that will take place during this season of the show is that it will have a greater emphasis on individuals who are on the periphery of society.
This is one of the reasons why some of the show’s longtime viewers have been dissatisfied with recent developments, as they believe the programme is becoming excessively political. This season, the show places an emphasis on diversity, and its producers want to tell stories and cast members that are representative of all walks of life.
Why Was Season 5 Canceled?
When fans heard that The 4400 season 5 would not be coming out, they were shocked because the show ended on a huge cliffhanger. No one ever found out how those 4400 people went missing and came back unharmed. They wanted to see the show end the way it should have.
The creators of The 4400 talked about it for a long time and decided not to make season 5 because the ratings were very low at the time (2007). But after a lot of people found out about it, the demand went up, which might force the makers to think about making it again.
Season 5: Is There Any Possibility to Come Back?
The new series, titled “Reboot,” will be entirely separate from the previous series and will not feature any of the original actors or writers. This means that questions raised in the fourth season will probably never be resolved.
However, there has been no confirmed statement regarding when the new version of The 4400 would be available to the public. An official statement, however, is expected by October of 2021. Due to the pandemic, it may be delayed until 2022, though.
Is There Any Update on the Season 5 Trailer?
Season 5 doesn’t have a trailer, and there won’t be one in the future either. The CW has not shown any teasers or trailers for the new version of The 4400 (The Originals). So, instead, here’s a trailer for the fourth season.
Where Can We Watch Season 5?
You may watch the original version of The 4400 on Voot, or you can watch the reboot on The CW’s website.
For the time being, this is all the information that we have regarding the fifth season of The 4400. Stay Tuned!
