The Rookie Season 4: About The Show

The Rookie Season 4

Now, all of you here might not be familiar with the show. And for those of you, I will just give you a brief outline of the show. Imagine switching careers at the old age of 40. That is what the show is about. The show revolves around our main character John Nolan, who is played by Nathan Fillion.

John, who is fed up with his life, suddenly experiences something that changes his entire perspective on life. He is involved in a problem that forces him to think about what he actually desires from his life, and to stop the continuous cycle of autopilot that he is surviving on.

So, our beloved protagonist decided to become a policeman. Now, that might sound like quite an eccentric choice for someone to make at the age of 40, but that is really what John feels he should be. He wants to serve the greater good and the people of his country. And nothing can stop him from it.

Well, not nothing. He is 40 years old, which is hardly conducive to becoming a physically active and athletic cop. So things are not as simple as they sound. John has to start all over again, and he becomes the oldest rookie in the department. And that does not bode well with the people over at the station. Which leads to further drama.

And to be quite fair, it is this drama that is conducive to his character development, and experience as a cop. He simply cannot give up all that he has because of rumors and the way that people talk about him. And he goes on to become what he wants to be over the course of the three seasons. Which was really great to see.

The Rookie Season 4: Outlook

The Rookie Season 4, so far, has been an interesting one. It has ticked all the boxes that I expected it to cover this season. The departure of one of the main characters in the show has also been a defining factor in how the show has gone so far. Angela’s kidnapping and its consequences are also still in focus and will continue to remain that way for some time. And I feel that it is going to be really good for the show. All things said I’m really looking forward to the way things transpire, and whether Angela and Sandra La Cruz’s storyline will meet its proper conclusion.

For those of you who still haven’t watched the fourth season, I highly recommend you to do so right away. I promise that you are not going to regret it. It is really good and adds a lot of depth to what we have seen so far.
