The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is an action role-playing game created by Polish company CD Projekt Red, and initially released in 2015.
It is the sequel to the 2011 game The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and the third game in The Witcher video game series, playable in an open world with a third-person viewpoint.
The games are based on The Witcher series of fantasy books created by Andrzej Sapkowski.
Overview Of Game
Slavic mythology informs the setting of the game’s fantastical realm. Taking on the role of Geralt of Rivia, a professional monster slayer known as a Witcher, players must track down his adopted daughter, who is on the run from the Wild Hunt.
Players use weapons and magic, interact with non-player characters, and complete tasks to gain experience points and money, which may be used to enhance Geralt’s powers and buy new equipment. The player’s decisions at important times in the narrative decide the game’s three alternative endings.
A three-and-a-half-year development period started in 2011. The game’s setting is based on the civilizations of Central and Northern Europe. The developer was able to use REDengine 3 to tell a rich tale without sacrificing the game’s open universe.
Marcin Przybyowicz wrote the majority of the music and played it with the Brandenburg State Orchestra.
A Nintendo Switch version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be published in October 2019, with a PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S version expected to arrive in 2022.
The game was well praised for its gameplay, story, environment design, combat, and aesthetics, despite a few minor technical difficulties.
It has been hailed as one of the greatest video games ever developed and has won countless accolades. Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, two further expansions, were also highly praised by gamers.
In August 2016, the original game, expansions, and all the downloadable content were published in a Game of the Year edition. The game has sold over 40 million copies worldwide, making it one of the most successful video game franchises ever created.
Geralt and Vesemir arrive at White Orchard after receiving a letter from Yennefer. Geralt and Yennefer go to Vizima, where they encounter Emperor Emhyr. Ciri, Emhyr’s biological and Geralt’s adoptive daughter, is missing.
Ciri is a Child of the Elder Blood, the last heir of an ancient Elven heritage that affords her the capacity to alter time and space. He discovers Ciri’s recent sightings in Velen, Novigrad, and the Skellige Isles.
Geralt follows Ciri to the citadel of the Bloody Baron, a new warlord in Velen. By finding his wife and daughter, Geralt can help Ciri. The Baron’s drunken rages pushed his own family away; his daughter escaped to Oxenfurt, while his wife Anna became a servant of the Crones, three evil witches who watch over Velen.
Geralt rescues Dandelion, who informs him Ciri was transported to Skellige to avoid guards. A magical explosion near where Ciri was last seen leads Geralt to Yennefer in Skellige. They learn Ciri visited Lofoten but left on a boat with an unnamed elf as the Wild Hunt struck again.
Aboard the boat was just Uma, a twisted monster Geralt had previously seen with the Bloody Baron.
To protect Ciri from the Wild Hunt, Avallac’h put her in an enchanted slumber on the Isle of Mists. Geralt meets Ciri on the Isle of Mists and learns that Eredin, the Wild Hunt’s leader, needs her Elder Blood abilities to preserve his realm from the White Frost. They return to Kaer Morhen to prepare for Hunt’s arrival.
After Vesemir is dead, Ciri unleashes her uncontrollable strength, forcing the Hunt to withdraw. Recognizing that the Hunt will never end, Ciri and Geralt choose a time and location to battle Eredin. Sorceresses’ Lodge of Sorceresses is reformed as Geralt finds the Sunstone, an item that can connect across realms.
Avallac’h uses the Sunstone to lure Eredin to Skellige, where Geralt fights him. Avallac’h has betrayed Eredin, and he aims to utilize Ciri’s might for his own means. Geralt and Yennefer follow Avallac’h but discover Ciri alive.
The player’s decisions may lead to several outcomes. Ciri will become the Empress of Nilfgaard if she defeats the White Frost. Ciri becomes a witcher if she lives but does not meet the emperor. If Ciri is slain by the White Frost, Geralt retrieves her medallion from the final Crone. Your decisions also decide whether Geralt marries Yennefer, Triss, or neither, and how much of the North Nilfgaard conquers.
