With the last Narcos season being released 4 years ago now, Narcos fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the final season 3 on November 5th. The first season of the American crime thriller drama series followed the story of a notorious Colombian drug lord, Pablo Escobar. Pablo became a millionaire through the production and distribution of cocaine in which the show documents his notorious career, alongside his dealings with other drug lords and various DEA agents. In fact, many of the characters associated with Pablo are based on real life drug lords.
The first season of Narcos cost over $25 million to produce, working out at a whopping $2.5 million per episode. However the show was met with critical acclaim in which lead actor Wagner Moura won Best Actor Award in the Television Series- Drama category at the Golden Globe Awards. The entire first series also won multiple awards, including Writers Guild of America Award for Television: Episodic Drama, British Academy Television Award for Best International Programme and three Primetime Emmy Award nominations.
The show also got a 78% positive score on rotten tomatoes and holds a score of 77 out of 100 on Metacritic. Much of the feedback is down to Moura in which his acting skills have been described as a real strength.
