Vikings Season 7: About The Show
Talking about Vikings, I’m sure when I mention the name your brain straightaway starts thinking of the barbaric men of the past who used to sail the seas and conquer the lands with their mighty strength. And you would be somewhat correct in assuming so. Because Vikings is a show that takes us back in history and shows us the Vikings in their true and raw manner, and paints a picture of the times back then.
The show is based on the adventures of Viking Ragnar Lothbrok, who was a fearsome Viking of his time and went on to become a legend in history. The show takes place in the 12th century and depicts Ragnar as a farmer, who through sheer hard work and will, goes on to become a Scandinavian King with might that shuts down all those around him. The later part of the story focuses on his relationship with his sons, and their adventures through the lands of Scandinavia, England, and the Mediterranean.

Vikings Season 7: What Happened So Far
Vikings Season 6 has been a rollercoaster of emotions, to say the least. The show creator had promised a tear inducing season right before the second part of the season came out, and he delivered on that promise.
The season saw a lot of disappointment for Ubbe and Torvi as they become the victim of a number of false alarms, and then find a land that is not what they needed, and fell short of all expectations. Added to that was the fact that they had endured hardships of their own. It doesn’t help that this is uncharted territory for them, and they must adapt themselves to the new way of life and the norms that exist around their new people.
On the front of Ragnar, all his efforts and tribulations finally come to an end, as his attempt at conquering the globe goes in vain, and eventually signals the end of his reign, and brings on dark times for his family. All things considered, this spelled the proper end to the season and gave us an ending that we all deserved for the show.

Vikings Season 7: Will It Be Renewed
Given the way that things have been happening, it was obvious that the showrunners never intended to go forward with Vikings Season 7. The show ended a while ago, and since then, has not been renewed for Season 7. Thus, the show has been officially canceled by the showrunners, and will not be returning for Vikings Season 7.
This was all confirmed by the season 6 ending, which showed the end of the empire, and gave the show a conclusion there was no coming back from. So all things considered, it looks highly unlikely that Vikings will ever return for a seventh season.
However, this does not mean that Vikings is at an end. Not at all. In fact, Vikings is getting a new and fresh beginning in the form of the spinoff show Vikings: Valhalla. Valhalla is set to be a show that will tie off all the storylines that might have been left unresolved in the original story, and will take things to a smaller perspective.
Vikings Season 7: Final Words
Vikings Season 7 might not ever happen. But that doesn’t mean that it was all in vain. We enjoyed a good six seasons of the show, and it was more than enough for the fans. I am personally a huge fan of the show, and I think that it has had quite a stellar run over the course of its entirety. And now, it has earned its well deserved ending.
